Over the decades since, Anderson Media has branched out to serve a variety of market needs. The affiliated businesses of Anderson Media include the largest North American distributor and marketer of music, DVDs and books, as well as manufacturers of in-store display units, publishers of chart-topping music, and direct-to-consumer digital businesses. Today, we are the leading entertainment media distributor to North American Walmart and Sam’s Club locations. The company is also a product distributor to Army and Air Force exchange stores at bases around the world.

During 2009, the family business was dealt a major setback and was forced to close its magazine distribution business because of collusion among certain suppliers. The business had successfully operated for more than 90 years and had grown to reach peak revenues of more than $1.5 billion, distributing one of every three single copy magazines sold in the United States. This closure harmed associates and tarnished the family business’ reputation. Because the Anderson family feels so strongly about this situation, it has filed a major antitrust action against the parties that illegally acted and committed more than $10 million to this action.
